The City of Portage la Prairie reminds citizens that routine snow clearing takes place on the day after garbage collection when snow accumulation has met set standards.

The City of Portage la Prairie announces that City Manager Nathan Peto will be departing from his position after seven years of dedicated service. Mr. Peto will be leaving to pursue a new professional opportunity. His last day with the City will be January 27^th, 2025.

On Monday, October 28th, 2024 at 7:30pm (or immediately following the 6:00pm Council and Committee meetings), Council will hold a Budget Meeting to review Community Grant Applications.  The meeting will take place at Stride Place, 245 Royal Road S.  To respect the confidentiality of the applicants, the majority of this meeting will take place in camera.

We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing leader to oversee the daily operations of our library and provide exceptional service to our community. The Library Director is responsible for providing strong leadership to the library team as well as being accountable for the management of the library in accordance with standards and policies established with the Board.
