We're Hiring - Labourers Seasonal Position

Seasonal Position - May to October 2025

The City of Portage la Prairie is accepting resumes for the position of Labourers for the 2025 season. Under the close supervision of designated City staff, labourers perform a variety of manual labour tasks in conjunction with City seasonal activities. Labourers must be available to work at various City facilities. 

Qualifications include completion of Grade 10 and a valid Class 5 driver’s license is required. Please indicate on your resume if you have First Aid, Confined Space Training, and Air Brakes.  Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with ½ hour for lunch.

The wage for this position is $20.59 per hour. This is a unionized position and is subject to all terms and conditions of the collective agreement or subsequent amending agreements.
