Road Closure - Gigot Avenue (1)

The road closure of Gigot Avenue from 20th Street NW to 21st Street NW will remain closed until Spring of 2025. The sewer and watermains were replaced on Gigot Avenue from 18Th Street to 21st Street as part of the 2024 renewal contract. The Contractor worked well past freeze up to complete the sewer main renewal. The freezing temperatures didn't allow for proper back filling of the excavation, so the last block of the project (20th -21st St.) will remain closed to through traffic until surface restorations can be completed in the spring.
