We would like to inform the community that three members of our Community Safety Officer (CSO) team are transitioning to new careers, with some continuing to serve locally as Police Officers with a regional police force. While we are proud of their achievements and wish them success, we also recognize that their departure will temporarily impact the service levels within our CSO program.
To mitigate the impact, we are actively recruiting new Community Safety Officers. We encourage those interested in contributing to public safety in Portage la Prairie to apply. The CSO office will remain open, and our phone line will continue to operate. We are coordinating closely with the RCMP to address any service gaps and maintain community safety standards during this time. Please follow our social media page for more updates.
