Parade Permits and Street Closures

Under the City’s Traffic Bylaw, a Parade Permit is required for parade events.

Submit the Parade Permit or Street Closure form to the Director of Public Safety/Fire Chief at 124 3rd Street NE, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1N7 or email the Administrative Assistant at dcore@city-plap.com.

If a street closure is required for the event, the application must be made to the City of Portage la Prairie at least six weeks in advance.

You are responsible for making arrangements with the Portage la Prairie RCMP at (204) 857-4445 concerning this event.
