Implementation of Phase 2 of the Downtown Parking Strategy

The City of Portage la Prairie is postponing implementation of Phase 2 of the Downtown Parking Strategy until November 1, 2020.

Phase 2 was initially scheduled to come into effect on October 1, 2020 with the introduction of time limited lot parking in the Heritage Square East & West parking lots.  As part of the implementation process, stakeholders were asked to provide feedback and City Council received over 85 pieces of correspondence related to this phase of the parking strategy.

City Council thanks everyone for their feedback.  To allow time to review and consider the feedback provided, implementation of Phase 2 of the Downtown Parking Strategy has been postponed to November 1, 2020.
