Become a COPP Member
COPP is always looking for new members to join their group. Anyone interested can visit the RCMP detachment and complete an application. Upon receipt of a clean criminal record check and vulnerable sector check, your application will be forwarded to the next Portage la Prairie COPP meeting for approval.
Portage la Prairie COPP requests that volunteers make a minimum commitment of 3 hours per month. Training in regards to personal safety, reporting incidents, etc is provided.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- In good health.
- Live, work or have a vested interest in the patrol area.
- Must complete a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check (free of charge).
- Good interpersonal skills and communications skills.
- Possess positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a professional manner.
